This one took quite some time, when I first saw the original concept by 柿子 皮 (https://www.artstation.com/marmot123) I instantly thought of an animated series called "Chasseurs de dragons" that I loved as a kid, mixed them up and came up with this environment.
Its been a long journey: 3ds max for base meshes, uvs and some path deforms to create all the structures, zbrush for the highs, substance painter for the textures and blender to add ropes and cloth, finally since rendering clothing simulations plus volumetrics with Cycles was too time-consuming I decided to give Lumen a chance and moved everything to UE5, gotta say the program is so powerful its actually mind-blowing.
I've really enjoyed this one so much that after all that I even took the time to make a quick dragon, animate it with vertex paint to give the background a bit more life.
Overall I'm quite happy with the results, I've learned a lot with this one and discovered a few things that I wanna keep learning more about.
Any sort of feedback will be appreciated or if you just liked it feel to let me know too ^^
